Finally 17Yrs of dormancy within the “Beauty Pageant “on the
world circuit for India has finally been brought to a happy end by none other
than Ms. Manushi Chillar-MBBS student from Sonipat,Haryana on 18th
Nov,2017 at a grand event of “Miss World 2017” at Sanya City Arena, China.
Ms.Manushi Chillar was crowned Miss World 2017 after
competing with 108 other dynamic contestants from across the globe for this
coveted crown which ultimately symbolizes a Lady with an ultimate beauty along
with the brain .India has busted with the world wide appreciation for its aura
of exemplary persona replicated after 17long years.
“Surya
Veena Adarsh Niketan Trust” extends its congratulatory messages to
the proud family and friends of Ms. Manushi Chillar on behalf of all our well
wishers and associates.
In current context, Ms. Manushi Chillar’s achievement is a true
inspiration for all those students in India who are perplexed between studies, career and passion.
As already known to all the participants of UDDAN that,I have been creating the awareness
around the same for last 11months where I have been encouraging you to develop
an alternate career based on your passion in parallel to your imposed or self
generated aspiration for professional studies
which many term as “Secured Profession “ which is indeed dicey in today’s
highly job crunch market.
You can observe that how a Doctor Couple , Dr. Mitra Basu Chhillar(Father) & Dr. Neelam Chhillar(Mother) had encouraged their daughter to parallely
develop her childhood passion for
fashion alongside her MBBS degree course while the former took an early kickstart through a professional pageant on the biggest
platform .
India is changing
but not at a pace yet required for every child to develop his or her passion into a serious profession
which can help him to develop an alternate career option.
In my UDDAN
sessions, which is known for raising some important questions for change within
Education, Corporate & Government segment, I did a small query to the
students by asking them:-
“What does your father do in his profession
and what does your mother do ?”
As
anticipated, I got several quick replies from the students from Class VI
onwards till B.Techs/MBA as well that “ My father is a doctor, engineer, farmer,
business man etc...while my mother is a house wife....!!”
Is
it so...???Is your mother only a house wife...???
Aren’t
we creating a Gender difference based on occupation within the family itself???
If
I am asked to describe my father’s occupation Vs my mother's profession ....I would rather
reply that My Father retired as a Government Employee while my MOTHER still continues to be
a HOME MAKER.....!!
I
am reminded of my awareness statement with reference to the response given by Ms. Manushi
Chillar to the question put forth by the panel that “Which Profession
deserves highest Salary?” to which
Ms.Manushi Chillar’s reply won the heart of billions around the world.
“
I think a mother deserves the highest respect and when you talk about salary it’s
not always about cash but I feel it’s the love and respect that you give to
someone .My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life. All
mothers sacrifice so much for their kids .So I think it is the job of a mother
that deserves the highest salary”.
Let’s
encourage our children to grow on their strengths and not on their weaknesses
so that we can every year produce achievers in all walks of life and hence
avoid any such performance gap of 17Yrs again in the time to come.
With
Best Regards,
