| Cholesterol Lowering Effect Of Rice Bran Oil |
Abstract:-
Coronary Heart disease is the most common form of heart disease.it is a general term for both heart attack
and angina.it is more common in older people and
in males.However,Women tend to be older and sicker when they are first treated
for a heart attract. Coronary heart disease occurs when some of the arteries
that carry blood to the heart muscles become narrowed with fatty deposits. In this condition fatty deposits called
plaque,composed of cholesterol and fats,build up on the inner wall of the
coronary arteries.when arteries are narrowed,the heart is not fully supplied
with oxygen and other nutrients it needs.if an arteries completely blocked,a
heart attack occurs.Angina,on the other hand is the medical term of chest pains
behind the breastbone.Angina is specific type of pain in the chest caused by
inadequate blood flow through the blood vessels of heart muscle.Angina is not a
disease itself.it is primary symptom of coronary
artery disease.Angina can also be a warning sign for heart attack as it
indicates a partial blockage in blood flow to the heart.one of the oils to gain
popularity in india in recent times is Rice Bran oil.while Rice Bran oil is
good for reduce cholesterol level contain itself MUFA-PUFA ratio close to the
AHA.However,Due to contain natural antioxidants have capacity to fight against
Bed Cholesterol level beside blocked the free particles in the blood vessels.

(Saturated Fatty Acids).
INTRODUCTION:-
Fats is an important ingredient of human diet.The functional
role of fat in the diet is manifold.Fat is a most concentrated source of
Energy.One gram of fat gives 9 Kcal of energy.Carbohydrates and protein
provides only 4 kcal of energy per gram.However Rice bran oil is an incredible
source of Vitamins,minerals,amino acids,essential fatty acids and antioxidant
nutrients that help to fight disease and promote health.it's
no wonder the healthy oil that comes from Rice bran is becoming so successful
at replacing hydrogenated oils containing trans fat.Research on -going with this
invaluable food source and scientists have found components critical to human
health.
CONCLUSION:-
Several recent studies have documented that Indians are
particularly Susceptible to chronic metabolic disease like Coronary heart
disease.Since hyper-lipidemia is an important independent risk
factor,Considerable attention has been given to the quality as well as quantity
of fat in the diet.The World Health Organization recommended poly-Unsaturated
fatty acid PUFA/SAFA ratio of 0.8-1.0 in diet and linoleic acid/Alpha
linoleic acid ratio of 5-10 in the diet.India is the second largest paddy
producer in the world so Rice Bran oil is really beneficial for Heart patients
although Cancer patient too.Now India has potential to produce almost 1 million
tones RBO and it is prudent to take appropriate steps to popularize the use of
Rice Bran oil by our population for prevention of Coronary Heart Disease.
