| Intense Disaster which even God couldn't withstand |
Dear Friends Worldwide!!
"Surya Veena Adarsh Niketan Trust" (SVANT) is deeply down with the ongoing tragedy as an outcome of heavy rain, landslides and flood in various parts of Uttarakhand(UK) since June 16th,2013 which has confirmed the lose of more than 1000 lives so far on official level. Till date more than 70,000 people have been evacuated while still more than 28,000 lives are waiting for their turn.
Maximum disaster has been at holy pilgrimage center of "Kedarnath" itself which is known worldwide for " Kedarnath temple" ,the deity of Lord Shiva.
Rescue operations are active amidst bad weather and continuous rain in Dehradun and other parts of UK. CISF,CRPF jawans are playing the major role in successful evacuation by constructing temporary bridges, ropeways over the furious river while hundreds of dead bodies are lying rotten amidst heavy rush for survival.
SVANT appreciates the initiatives of CRPF,CISF personnels who have announed to donate their 1 day salary to the PMO Relief Fund which brings the total amount to Rs.26crore itself.
Apart from this the financial assistance from other states like Maharastra,Gujrat is really appreciable. Even various other organizations like Patanjali Trust have already sent their 5 trucks full of Grocery, Drinking Water, Medicine etc to the nearest towns adjoining Kedarnath along with the team of 50 volunteers which could save the life of those people evacuated out of Kedarnath through the hills or by helicopters.
Still massive work needs to be done to restore the lives of many who are either the local residents or those people who have already lost the lives of their men , women and children forever.
Amidst this what troubles "SVANT" is that where are those Celebrities , Sportsmen, Politician and Business Man who in good times talk about CSR Fund,donations to temples in crores and tax payment in multicrores which is highlighted in the Media several times a day but not even a single such celebrity has come forward to declare any such donation.
Friends, every hand matters to save the country and if we are waiting for someone else to come and rescue our country men than we are inviting a big trouble for ourselves.
I request all of you to come forward and donate generously in the form of money or medicine or rendering your service in the form of some voluntary organization or in person association with the army people in these troubled areas of our country which has till date been the epicenter of rich culture ,tradition and heritage.
